Mechanical Design & Build Services Supporting Advances in Science and Technology

This is the structure for a complex optical instrument for laboratory research and development. I was contracted to do the mechanical design, and later mechanical fabrication.

Starting with an exported *.igs file of the optical elements, I modeled all COTS mounts, folded the design into a compact form, and then designed a framework substrate and enclosure using SolidWorks.

Following the design phase, we fabricated the more than one hundred mechanical parts for the instrument.
